How do you set up the Speedhorse and Speedhorse XT?
There is a trigger in the center of the sawhorse. To set up the Speedhorse, hold the sawhorse by the handle, then pull the trigger. The legs will release and lock into place.
How do I fold the Speedhorse for storage and transport?
On each end of the sawhorse there is a latch that holds the legs locked. To fold, pull the leg latch to release the leg, then push the leg into the body. You may need to push up on the bottom of the leg braces to release them. DO NOT force the legs shut. After the leg latch has released the leg, you can fold it into the sawhorse body, and the legs will fold together as they are pushed into the body of the sawhorse. What length of 2x4 should be used for attaching to the top of the Speedhorse/Speedhorse XT and what length of screw is best for securing it to the sawhorse?
Use a 2x4 between 38" and 39-1/2" long, centered between the 2x4 brackets. A 1" screw is the recommended length. A pan head or truss head screw is ideal because it will not deform the metal of the top like a standard construction screw will.
