Help CenterBORA has released 4 versions of the expandable Clamp Edge straight edge. Each series, or generation, of Clamp Edge has its own extension. Read on for more details.
WTX Clamp Edge (series 543 and 545)
The WTX Clamp Edge is our original expandable Clamp Edge series. There are 2 different versions. The latter is a slightly updated version, but no changes to its function. You can tell these apart by their look: the original had a plain anodized aluminum rail, while the newer version had ruled markings on the rail. These are referred to as the 543 and 545 series because of the prefix on each model number (50" original WTX has 543050 as the part number and 50" updated WTX has the 545050 part number).
The original WTX extensions were prefixed by a 542 on the model number so they had 542035 and 542060 as their part numbers. All 542 and 545 series extensions work with both 543 and 545 series WTX Clamp Edges.
NGX Clamp Edge (series 544 and 546)
The NGX Clamp Edge is our newest generation of Clamp Edges. There are 2 generations that have been introduced. These can be differentiated again by their model number prefix. The 1st generation NGX model numbers all start with 544, and the 2nd generation starts with 546. The changes between generations are more significant than the 2 variations of the WTX, so the 544 series extensions are not compatible with 546 series NGX Clamp Edges, and vice versa. We currently sell the extension for the 546 series NGX as part of the 546100 96" Clamp Edge. The 546060 is estimated to be available individually by mid-December 2023.
